We were very excited about this unit when we got it and set it up, it replaced a 20 year old alarm clock that uses LED display and looks like a dinosaur.....until we turned the light off that first night. Even with the dimmest setting this thing lit up the whole room, if you have the clock facing you its like have a spotlight in your face. I would recommend this docking station for any room other than the bedroom.

Can't wake to Buzzer,

I purchased this unit from Costco... It is great for the money, but please be advised: When the iPhone or iPod is inserted in the dock you CAN NOT set the alarm to the buzzer function. Therefore, if you are like I am, and wish to have the alarm be the buzzer you can't leave your iPhone docked overnight to charge. For me this kind of defeats the purpose. I probably won't take this back, but it is very annoying none the less. If you check the manufacturer's website, it even says that you can wake from 2 different sources. It says this on the box for crying out loud, but when I contacted customer support, the said you can only do it like it says in the manual. The manual mentions nothing about setting the buzzer as the alarm. Frustrating.
Otherwise, this is a great product.

Tempermental and bright,

I was excited to receive this for Christmas, but this product is very frustrating to use.
1. Extremely bright display. I have to turn it off (defeats the purpose of being able to roll over and check the time in the middle of the night)
2. It seems you just can't dock your iPhone to trigger the wake-to-music, but you have to dock, and then play something to get the ready-indicator to appear.
3. Then if it does fade in the music, within a minute it sounds the buzzer, defeating that purpose
4. And because it turns on my iPhone, unless I dim the brightness on my phone, the light alone can wake you.
Bottom line, this thing takes a lot of work each night to do what should be some very simple things.
Advice: don't buy, look elsewhere.
