Boomboxes remain classic to this day because they're still a perfect way to add a little party to a BBQ, a trip to the beach, or any other event needing a little musical encouragement. This portable music system gives you an AM/FM radio and an iPod dock, so you can enjoy your favorite playlists anywhere.
iPod Dock Pop your iPod in the universal iPod dock and enjoy your favorite tunes in booming stereo sound. While it's in there, your iPod will recharge, so it's ready for the trip home.
AM/FM Radio If you feel like radio programming--your favorite rock station, talk radio, weather or traffic updates, anything--flip on the direct tune AM/FM radio to dial it in.
Shuffle Ready If you're rocking the iPod shuffle, you'll be happy to know that this boombox boasts a 3.5 shuffle dock, too. When you're using a docking iPod, just throw the cover over it.
Input/Output If you want to use an external audio device like an MP3 player, just connect it to the 3.5-mm auxiliary line-in jack, and you're golden. For more intimate listening, slap on your headphones and use the headphone jack.
AC/DC Powered Use the included AC adapter when you're near an outlet, and when you're on the go, you'll just need 4 C size batteries to keep the party moving.

This is the only low price box I have found that really works well. The universal dock is for real! It plays all of my Ipods and Charges them as well. I have purchased many high priced players that will not charge the newer ipods. This is not a player to provide music for parties or your home. As a portable player that comes with a ac adapter you will not find one better in this price range. Walgreens carries them for a couple dollars less than advertised here. I have a large home and take mine from room to room when I clean. Earbuds can be a pain to wear all the time!

I wanted a little ipod radio with good sound quality for patio parties or in our basement when we're hanging out. But this boombox has really cheap, tinny sound, no bass, no treble, just like a little kids radio. Also the cord connection isn't very strong so the sound cuts out and the cord has to be wiggled for it to come back on. I'll be returning this and purchasing the rounded version of this radio, that takes 8 C batteries and comes in different colors. Hoping that it has better sound quality than this piece of junk.

If you're looking for a system that delivers huge sound, then don't buy this. However, it's exactly what I was looking for! My iPod shuffle 1g fits into it perfectly and it's a good listen! This item is for a picnic day or a day at the beach or for taking along in the car where radio reception isn't great. I really like it and am totally happy with it! It has the distinct advantage of charging the ipod while it's playing. Also, it has a connecting cord that will allow you to play your music for as long as you'd like without worrying about batteries. It takes 6 C batteries, but I haven't tested how long those batteries might last while that's the only power source.
I think this is a pretty good product! Oh yes, and it has a radio in it, too!!!
