1) The grip for the stand that hooks to the iPhone is a rubberized piece of plastic that expands and then contracts to hold it in place. Even though it has grips it looks cheaply made and I'm not comfortable having it grip my bare iPhone.
2) The software you have to download and use is horrible and not user friendly
3) Worst of all, the device is paired with your phone via Bluetooth but frequently drops the pairing causing you to have to re-pair each time. No thanks.

great for ipod touch and iphone . The remote works via bluetooth. The stand works on a flat surface. I used it with the front camera so i can see when it takes a picture or video.I used it to take a video of my golf swing so I could correct the swing. you transfer the pics to your "camera roll" then you can use SPLICE app to edit them on the go. The Stand is a plus, it beats carrying a tripod.

I love the idea of a remote shutter for the iPhone, but unfortunately this product doesn't do it for me. It doesn't work with the iPhone's native camera app (when I tried, it turned on my music player...), or any other photo software, but only with the buggy, very UN-user-friendly Belkin Live Action app. Two stars for promising hardware, but a big zero for being locked into photo software I'd never want to use. Sadly, it's going back to Amazon.
